Mathematics means a calculative discipline which helps do calculations in a more systematic way; it also makes our life systemized along with preventing mistakes. Power of reasoning, originality, intellectual or spatial thoughtfulness, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and even effective communication skills can be developed with an easy and fast learning of mathematics.

Mathematics is the frame of all makings, without which nothing can move an inch. In all walks of life you need a mathematical mind to do your jobs accurately. In cooking, mothers need mathematics, in dusting and sweeping maids need mathematics, in spreading a bed-sheet also mathematics is needed. Most important of all, you need a time management technique in your life for a balanced progress of multifarious life. Anyone can be a calculator if one is given proper leadership and preparation in the formative period of one’s life.

A good prospectus of mathematics with play way techniques would be very operative in teaching and knowledge of the subject. Teaching mathematics should be a very calculative attempt from the beginning of life. If parents and teachers fail here, then the child will develop a fear for the subject as he jumps to the next level.

Basic maths starts with counting, tables learning and ends up with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

(a). In Algebra, we use symbols and the rules for manipulating those symbols, where relationships between variables are described by equations. In solving equations, most important to know from where to start because equations have more than one operation.

(b). Algebraic Expressions deal with all these and can be considered as generalized arithmetic. Algebra is known as a unifying thread of almost all of mathematics.

(c). Algebra produces a formula by replacing numbers with variables and then applies that formula for easy calculations in future routines.

Luckily one acronym PEMDAS is best to complete algebraic equations in a particular order - first do any math operations in Parentheses, then do Exponents, then Multiply, do division, then addition, and finally subtraction. For example, if we’re dealing with the math problem 5 + 2 × 4, if we plus 2 to 5 first, we get 7 × 4 = 28, but if we multiply 2 and 4 first, we get 5 + 8 = 13. Only the second answer is correct.

Next problem in algebra is how to use negative numbers, so it’s smart to review how to add, subtract, multiply, and do division of negative numbers. In this regard, only five rules are to be kept in mind:-

1. On a number line, a negative version of a number is the same distance from zero as the one with positive, but in the opposite direction.

2. by adding 2 negative numbers we will get a higher negative number.  Like -2 plus -2 would be -4

3. Deducting a negative from a positive number means doing addition of two positive numbers. Like 6 - (-4)= 10

4. Doing subtraction of a positive from a non-positive number means doing plus of two negative numbers. Like 6-(-2)= 6

5. Multiplication or division of 2 non-positive numbers gives a positive answer.  Like (-2) * (-4)= 8

6. Multiplication or division of 2 non-negative numbers and a negative number means getting a non-positive answer. (4) X (3)= 12 and when we multiply 12 with (-2), we will get (-24).

After learning basic mathematics if one knows the skill to apply Vedic mathematics Sutras, he/she one can resolve mathematical glitches 15-20 times earlier than normal approaches.

To learn Vedic mathematics or algebra, it is important to know the basic arithmetic including the rule of doing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Though they are the concepts that we all have studied in school mathematics, still it is imperative to master these concepts.

 What is Vedic Maths?

It's a group of Vedic Maths Sutras to crack maths difficulties easily and quickly. This style of Mathematics was exposed by an Indian mathematician Jagadguru Shri Bharathi Krishna and mentioned in his write-up named Vedic mathematics. Veda is a Sanskrit word that is referred as ‘Knowledge’, therefore, Vedic mathematics is a special knowledge to use in maths operations.

Many children face problems with simple arithmetical operations, manipulating signs and balancing calculations. Vedic maths way of learning maths offers a unique approach to the study of otherwise very serious branches of this subject.

Jagadguru Bharathi Krishna Tirthaji was born in 1884 in Southern India. He was amazing in studies and had more inclination in spiritualism and mediation. While practicing meditation he rediscovered the Vedic sutras. In 1957, swami presented his thoughts in an introductory volume of 16 sutras which is known as Vedic mathematics and he decided to write more other sutras soon. But later he developed a waterfall in his eyes, he died in 1960. His great life is a great inspiration as well as a great warning that in whatever field you wish to progress, don't waste prime years of this great human birth. Begin any great work without much thinking and speed up the progress very fast before it’s too late.

Some peculiar features of Vedic maths are as follows :-

1. Vedic mathematics is the coolest way and surges learners to learn maths. This process to learn maths, Algebra, the foundation of all mathematics and all sciences, would become more fun filled. Vedic mathematics means making Algebra easy and the fastest ways to learn new skills.

2. Vedic sutras help improve mental level and skills. It has an inbuilt talent to solve the psychological difficulties of Mathematics. These Vedic Methods help practitioners enhance mental abilities needed while doing challenging problems in the fastest and accurate manner.

3. Vedic math improves speed and correctness. Children can become Mental Calculators with no assistance from electronic calculators. It’s also called a Natural Calculator.

4. Practicing Vedic Sutras sharpens recollection and expands self-confidence. It’s a holistic development of the human brain.

5. Since vedic maths sutras have their origin in meditational ways of developing knowledge, it’s usage will help in the development of the brain and thus helps make children more intuitive and innovative. It is observed in history that Geniuses focus on the right portion of the brain for getting amazing exceptional results.

6. Last but not the least, Vedic maths way of doing maths will create a very strong the all-round foundation of life, not confined to a subject named maths, but extended to the overall personality development based on accurate thinking and speed in any walk of life.
